Shabuhouse Brisbane

A couple days ago, my coworkers and I decided to hold a surprise birthday dinner for another coworker of mine at Shabuhouse. I've never actually tried this restaurant but I used to always go to Hanwoori which is a Korean restaurant opposite Shabuhouse. So, I was really excited to try this Japanese restaurant!

I was really surprised about the price! For me, I rarely go to buffets because I don't really eat that much. In addition, I'm a really picky eater which means that it is not worth it for me.

We were all really nervous! When she walked into the restaurant, we sang Happy Birthday and she was really surprised!

Carmen's sushi plate! Apparently, the salmon did not taste :/ Did not try it because as mentioned before, I'm a very picky eater... Haha, I only eat cooked salmon. :(

Some ingredients for shabu shabu! I really loved this! The soup was delicious! However, I did not like the fish balls at all. They tasted weird.

Overall, I thought that the food was pretty good. The only thing that I would point out is that, it is not worth it if you don't eat a lot! The restaurant environment was really clean while the customer service that was provided was average. I would say that I would not be coming back to this restaurant unless there are any events with friends or family.

Once again, Happy Birthday Wei Wei! I hope you enjoyed the surprise dinner as well as the presents! God Bless! :)

BBQ & Catch Up at Penny's

The other day Penny organised a BBQ and a catch up session at her place. It's been so long since I've seen you guys!! Well, to think about it, it's only Tina, Andy and Vincent. I've seen the rest in school since some of them have the same classes as me. Haha. Had quite a fun time catching up with you guys!

After that, they watched a horror movie. Te-yuan, Rachel and I did not want to watch it so we watched some Korean mvs. It was so funny cause Te-Yuan kept asking for hot guys. Haha. Rachel and I decided to leave early and go to Freestyle Tout! You can check out my blog post on the restaurant here!

Anita's Farewell Party - Harlem Shake

Last Friday, a couple of us went over to Anita's to celebrate her farewell party. Ngaw, I'm gonna miss her so much when she's in Sydney! Nevertheless, I'm sure that she'll do well in her course :)

While we were eating, we were watching some random videos and ended up taking about Harlem Shake. Since it was Anita was leaving the next day, we wanted to do something special so we did our own version of Harlem Shake. I seriously thought that they were joking. We seriously did it. AMYC 2012 - Perth

Time went by really really quickly this year. In a blink of an eye, it's time for another AMYC event! I was really excited since I really had a good time last year. I also thought that this would be an opportunity for me to relax since I just completed my exams the week before.

I have compiled pictures from different cameras (including mine) to show you guys what we did :)

Didn't sleep throughout the entire 5 hours plan trip. I just couldn't sleep.. So ended up talking to Audrey and Tiffany throughout the entire flight. It was so good catching up with them :)

We went straight to sleep after arriving at the church. Special thanks to Grace Church for allowing us to stay overnight!

I'm pretty sure some of you have heard about this story already. As you all know, Perth is 2 hours behind Brisbane. We needed to wake up at 5am (Perth time) since there would be people picking us up for breakfast and church. Amos had totally forgotten about the time difference and woke us all up at 3 am (because his alarm shows 5am Brisbane time), rushing us because he thought that we were late. It was so funny because majority of us have not even slept yet especially since the weather was so so so cold. We were all grumbling and it was so funny. AMOS :(
