Review: Banila Co. Clean It Zero

Hello Everyone! It's been a long while! I hope you're doing well :)

This week I've decided to do a review on a make up remover, Clean It Zero. I've always wanted to try this product since everyone has been raving about it. It is basically a balm type make up removal which can also be used to remove waterproof eyeliner and mascara.

Product Information:
Product Brand: Banila Co.
Product Name: Clean It Zero
Made In: Korea
Size: 100 mL

Details:

This product comes with a lid as well as a spatula which I think is great for hygienic purposes.

As mentioned before, it is a balm type make up removal which feels waxy but melts in the palm of your hands.

Application:
Use the spatula to scoop a tiny bit of the make up removal (just a pea size is enough for me!) and melt them with the heat of your hands. Then massage your face in circular motion, including your eyes for a few seconds. Cleanse your face with your normal cleanser and pat dry!

Now, does this thing really work?
I've applied ZA Liquid Eyeliner, Urban Decay Eye Shadow as well as YSL Lipstick.
I've massaged a couple of times and the eye shadow as well as lipstick removed really easily, but as you can see, there were still some marks left from the eyeliner. I was a little disappointed, however, when I've actually tried this product on my face, it removed all my make up easily, including the waterproof eyeliner and mascara!

What do I think?
Likes:
  • This product removes make up very easily and the best part, it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily even after cleaning your face with just water. After cleansing, it also does not leave your skin feeling tight or dry!
  • Because this is a balm type make up removal, you are able to save on cotton pads! Besides that, I feel that using cotton pads would be too rough on the skin as my skin would sometimes feel painful after removing make up.
  • It comes with a lid and spatula which is great for keeping the product clean always.
  • This product contains many other ingredients like mineral oils, papaya fruit extract, etc. which are very beneficial for the skin.
Dislikes:
  • It is a little pricey but you don't need to use a lot which means that this product would last you for a long time!
  • I find the tub very heavy which means that it can be hard bringing it around when travelling. However, this is not a big problem since you can always transfer some into a smaller container.

Overall, I think that this is a great make up removal and would definitely recommend to others. It can be a bit pricey, depending on which stores you purchased it from, but it would definitely last long since you don't need much each time you're cleansing.

I hope you enjoyed and find this review helpful. See you soon!

God bless,
Angie

Shutter & Brew

Hey guys! I am terribly sorry for not updating my blog as often as I promised. I have just been so busy working and editing pictures just took forever. To be honest, I was starting to lose my passion in blogging but I am trying to slowly pick up again :)

I had time off work so Rachel and I decided to head out to try different cafes as well as markets. After heading to Carseldine Market, we stopped by Shutter & Brew Cafe which is roughly 15 minutes drive from the market.

Shutter and Brew is a very small cafe and the best part, it's air conditioned! It was exactly what we needed especially after a hot morning. It was decorated with photos, photography & coffee magazines and cameras. It has a very relaxing environment and I really love the deco around.

I realised that I did not take many photos of the coffee shop which was very rare. I keep forgetting to snap photos the entire day! Sorry guys! I will take more next time :)

Cold Press Coffee.
The best thing to have during a hot weather!

Butter and Strawberry Jam Bagel.
Something simple for the afternoon.

Both of us definitely enjoyed our simple lunch at Shutter Brew. Overall, I love the concept of the cafe, photography and coffee as well as the decorations around the shop. We would definitely visit back whenever we are in the northside.

Food Hunting: Brisbane 30.09.14

Hello Everyone! How have you all been? It's nearly the end of the year which means... exams are around the corner too! I am sure that everyone is well prepared for the exams *cough cough*. Anyways, this blog post is gonna be something special! During the last mid semester break, Rachel and I went around Brisbane, trying out different places to eat and visit. What's more interesting is... we filmed it!

If you want to know more about the places that we went to and what we thought about it, continue reading this post after the video!

1. Little Brew

Sticky ginger "banofee" bread with cream banana and caramel
We wanted to try something different and surprisingly, the ginger was not too overpowering. It was actually really delicious. They made the cream as well as the caramel themselves. I'm not really a big fan of cream, but I must say, the cream is so light! As you can see the presentation is very pretty!

Overall, I really loved the environment at Little Brew. It's clean, quite, pretty and the decorations are very nicely organised. They also have very friendly workers. The prices were also quite reasonable.

2. Showroom

This store is just located next to Little Brew. It's a really nice place to go to purchase things to decorate for your room/house. They also have really nice kitchenware. The owners are really friendly and we had a short chat with them even when they were really busy arranging their new products. Definitely a really nice place to visit!

3. Paddington Deli & Epirerie
They have quite a nice environment. We bought Baileys Fudge as well as Dark Chocolate Rocky Road. We thought that they were too sweet for our liking.

4. Paddington Antique Centre

5. Tall & Short Espresso

Affogato
We both thought that it would be quite good for beginners/people who don't regularly drink coffee. In our opinion, the barista did not add enough ice cream and also, as you can see, the presentation is so disappointing.

6. French Twist

Watermelon
The cake has a unique taste but I didn't really like this cake and it was very very sweet.

Mango & Pineapple Smoothie
This is refreshing, however, its very very very sweet.

The environment was very pretty and the furniture were arranged so nicely. Some of the staff members were friendly and kind but others were too busy with their work and ignored the counter. I had to wait a long time while ordering.

My driver for the day

7. Dandelion & Driftwood
This is a must go!

Hot Chocolate
This hot chocolate tasted very unique and different.

You are my sunshine bacon & egg bagel
This is so yummy! It looks very normal, but it's really delicious! This is a must try, I really recommend this!

This cafe had a really nice environment with relaxing music. Really love the way they decorated their interior design, the flower deco gave it a very light and fresh touch! They also had really quick service and friendly workers. This is definitely a MUST TRY!

8. The Burrow

Towards the end of the day, we were really exhausted haha!

Pear of Aces

The Burrow is a very nice place to hang and they sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The workers are really nice and friends.

So, there you have it! I really enjoyed filming this as well as blogging about this. Do provide some feedback if you like so that we can improve! To be honest, the video as well as this post was a little rush because finals are coming and I just wanted to complete this post as soon as possible so that I can focus on exams preparation. Nevertheless, I hope you liked the video!

Before ending this post, I would like to introduce you guys to this wonderful website: The Urban List. They provide really good information for places to eat as well as markets and other interesting things you can do in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Do check out the website and like their Facebook page for more updates! How I really wish they have an app! Haha.

Alright! That's it from me now! I'll see you guys soon!

Review: 3CE (3 CONCEPT EYES) Lip Pigment

This is not a sponsored post

Hello everyone! I've been wanting to post this since a month ago. I actually took these photos a month ago but I just didn't have the time to write it up. I apologise for the delay!

I've been wanting to try this product since it was really popular and the colours were really pretty! I'm sure all of you have heard of 3CE! Let's begin!

Product Information:
Product Brand: Stylenanda
Product Name: 3 Concept Eyes Lip Pigment
Type: Electro Pink
Made In: Korea
Size: 11 g

There are so many other colours to choose from! You can also mix them together to get the desired lip colour!

I've only placed a small amount of product on the lip brush. I also added some lip gloss because I thought that the lip pigment was very dry.
TIP! Use a lip brush for a nicer application and also use lip balm before applying this product!

You can also apply them as a blusher or even an eye shadow. Unfortunately, I did not get to take photos of them on my eyes (My friend suddenly called for a meet up LOL).

What Do I Think?
Likes:
  • I really love how the colour is exactly the same as the colour on the packaging.
  • A little goes a LONG way! I only placed a small amount of the pigment on my lip brush and the colour was so vibrant!
  • It has a very small packaging, hence, I am able to bring them anywhere in my make up pouch. They won't be too heavy too.
  • I like the fact that you are able to use them in three different areas of your face - Eyes, Cheecks & Lips! So convenient! You don't have to search for the exact same blush colour to match your lips!
  • You are able to mix different lip pigments to get different colours! There are so many combinations!

Dislikes:
  • As I have already mentioned in the beginning, this product is very dry and it does not moisturise your lips at all! It enhances the cracks on your lips. Therefore, you must always put on lip balm before hand and also lip gloss for shine.
  • It is very inconvenient to apply since you would get your hands dirty. So, I recommend bringing a lip brush with you!
  • In addition, this lip pigment does not last long. It would not stay and is easily transferred when eating or drinking.

Review: Innisfree Mineral Moisture Foundation SPF34 PA++

This is not a sponsored post

Hey guys! I'm back with a review on one of Innisfree's product which is the Mineral Moisture Foundation.
I've been sleeping really late recently (I'm not exaggerating. I slept at 4-5am most of them time. Don't ask me what I did. I thought that during the holidays I would sleep early since my skin condition was already really bad due to staying up really late studying for the first semester's exam. But NOOOO... I wasted my entire semester break. I didn't get enough rest at all. Really regretted it :/)

To take opportunity of this situation, I decided to do a review on this foundation to show you guys a better result of the product. Just a warning before you continue read this post, my skin condition is really really bad. Sorry if I scared you guys. Haha! I did not edit any pimples out - I rarely edit pictures except for the colours.

Product Information:
Product Brand: Innisfree
Product Name: Mineral Moisture Foundation (SPF34 PA++)
Type: W2 (Warm colour tone, Natural Beige)
Made In: Korea
Size: 30 mL

Claims to provide:
1. Deep moisture
2. Perfect coverage
3. Perfect fit

Details:

It has a very watery texture and it gives a dewy skin finish.

Are you ready for my current face condition :O :O :O?!

Bare face - after my normal morning skincare routine. It's so scary isn't it :O

This is the amount that I used for my face which is about half a pump.

I usually blend the foundation with Innisfree Make up Air Magic Puff because it gives a better application and it reduces the flakiness around dry areas of your skin.

Besides that, it is also easier to spread the product as it is watery and spread really well.
Innisfree Make-up Air Magic Puff

It gives a light coverage. The pimples are not that visible in real life compared to the pictures. This is because I had bad bedroom lighting and lamp with creates shadows. You can also build up the coverage by dabbing a second layer of foundation. (I only had one layer of foundation)

And to finish off, complete the rest of the make up and do your hair :)

What Do I Think?
Likes:
  • It gives a dewy finish which is what I'm always looking for in BB Creams/ Foundations/ CC Creams. Don't you just love Korean celebrities dewy and soft skin!
  • Even though it gives a dewy skin effect, it is more hydrating and less oily compared to many other BB Creams/ Foundations. I realised that my skin is less oily at the end of the day after using this.
  • This foundation is quite long lasting - rarely smudge and transfer after applying.
  • It also does not cake!
  • It contains quite a high SPF - SPF34 and PA ++. However, do not skip your sunscreen! It is very important to protect your skin under the sun!
  • This product comes with a pump which is really convenient and more hygienic.
  • Innisfree products are well known due to their natural products as well as their eco-friendly packaging (In this Mineral Moisture Foundation, it contains Jeju green tea). It's really nice to know that the make up that you use don't contain a lot of chemicals as it could cause harm to your face permanently.
  • It is very affordable.

Dislikes:
  • It only gives a light coverage - it may not be enough for people with very severe acne. However, you can build up the coverage by apply two layers of foundation.
  • Do bear in mind though, if you apply too much, your face may appear white or pink. Apply little by little, do not go overboard :)
  • It does, to some extend, enhance some parts of your dry/ flaky skin, but as mentioned before, you can avoid this by using a sponge or brush. What you can also do is put on primer before hand or moisturize your face. I find that my base make up goes on really well after using sunscreen!
  • It has quite a strong smell, but it didn't bothered me too much.
Overall, I love this product and I would repurchase this product as it is quite affordable. I think it would be better when my acne are cleared (which means less coverage is needed). The most important this for me is that this foundation does not cake! I really hate it when it foundations or BB cream cake!

Alright that's it from me!

Hopefully my skin will heal faster!

Anyways, I also hope you guys find this post somewhat informative and has helped you!
Take care and I will be back with other posts :)
